8:01Now PlayingAs BNC continues to honor civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, we're learning about some rare photos of his historic visit to Chicago in 1966.
The photos were captured by John Tweedle, the first Black photographer hired by a major newspaper. They are not part of the Obsidian collection of digital photos, owned by author Hermene Hartman. She is a media pioneer and founder of Chicago's leading African American magazine, Indigo. Hartman joins "Start Your Day" with Sharon Reed to discuss the photos and King's legacy.
