On January 14, Ian Alexander Jr. made his final Twitter posts, five days ahead of his 26th birthday and a week before his death by suicide.
On January 21, Regina King confirmed the death of her son in a statement shared with People. “Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian. He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time.”
