The Census showed shifts in America’s population that impacted the balance of power in the Legislative Branch as some states gained seats in Congress while others have lost representation.

However, some communities are vastly undercounted, which means they’re also underrepresented in D.C. It also means they could see a disproportionate amount of federal funding.

Cities, states and tribal nations across the United States are now challenging the count.

Cara Brumfield, senior policy analyst with the Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality, joins Aisha Mills on “AMplified” to discuss.

All this and more on “AMplified.”
