21:26Now PlayingA federal jury has found former Minneapolis police officers Tou Thao, J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Lane guilty of violating George Floyd’s civil rights.
The three officers were found guilty of depriving Floyd of his civil rights by showing deliberate indifference to his medical needs as Derek Chauvin knelt on Floyd for more than nine minutes back in May of 2020 while acting under government authority.
Thao, Kueng and Lane each face up to life in prison.
Former prosecutor Leslie Ricard Chambers and former criminal defense attorney Lauren Prater join Yodit Tewolde on “Making the Case” to discuss the verdict.
