Redlining is the withholding resources for someone based on where they live or their actual or perceived financial standing.

According to a recently published study, the costs of redlining generations ago still linger today. As pollution in those formerly redlined areas is more prevalent than places that didn't engage in the practice.

Dr. Beverly Wright, founder of the Deep South Center for Environmental Justice at Dillard University, joins Aisha Mills on “AMplified” to discuss the high generational and environmental cost of redlining.

All this and more on “AMplified.”
