As King Charles III gears up for his coronation this weekend, Caribbean countries are seeking to leaving the British Monarchy. In 2021, Barbados cut ties with the monarchy, being the first to do so in three decades. Now as many as six countries, Belize, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, and St.Kitts and Nevis all intend to do the same.
