Despite President Biden signing into law historic investments in climate change with the Inflation Reduction Act, activists say it’s not nearly enough to address the global climate crisis.

Kaniela Ing, national director of the Green New Deal Network, tells theGrio the IRA is a good “down payment” but that the federal government needs to spend at least $1 trillion more a year. He says investing in a new clean energy society also gives America an opportunity to heal historical harms.
