To meet the increasing demand for realtime payment services, Axis Bank (based in India), Standard Chartered (Singapore), and RAKBANK (United Arab Emirates) will now use RippleNet to send live, fast, frictionless crossborder payments. These banks operate in big markets, sending billions in payments. There is a large Indian workforce in the UAE, these workers send a significant amount of their salaries home every year. SingaporeIndia trade corridor is worth $15 billion.
No mention of XRP usage, but expect Ripple to push these banks to use XRP. As they have stated they want to get the banks to use XRP but need to form partnerships first.
