XRP is not a security says Congressman Tom Emmer at the first ever Crypto town hall which included Ripple's CEO Brad Garlinghouse. Mr Emmer stated that the US inaction and lack of regulatory clarity is hurting crypto startups such as Ripple and they may go over seas where they can operate with clear regulations. Brad Garlinghouse response to a question about if Ripple is working with Bank of America at the town hall looks promising. In addition, Asheesh Birla, SVP of product and corporate development at Ripple, has said that 20% of RippleNet transactions occur using XRP digital asset.
