A Democratic rep said that based on their identities they were more likely to be in the demo that put Biden and Kamala Harris at risk and thus needed to be vetted. The National Guard was singled out over race and gender resulting in two guards being removed.
The fear is that Trump loyalist members would stage some kind of inside attack on the inauguration.
Regardless of the veracity of the claims and fears the fact that the rhetoric has reached this level, with even CNN saying we can't trust our military shows we really are in uncharted territory
