Sell in May and go away? Not so much these days.

Summers used to be a dead zone for hot trades, but that hasn’t been the case lately. Maybe it’s the bull market ... maybe it’s how information spreads on social media so quickly ... maybe it’s that there are more traders…

... whatever the reason, if the market’s in play, you want to be ready.

You can’t force the market to mold to your schedule. When there’s action, that’s the time you should be ready and waiting with solid trading plans.

My personal approach? Acting like a retired trader. How does that work? Well, a play has to be good enough to drag me out of that retirement. It’s just a little trick I use to stay patient and wait for the right plays.

I’d rather miss plays and trade less than overtrade!
