Good morning, everyone! It’s 7 a.m. here on the west coast which explains why I may sound disoriented right now…

I’m not a morning person at all.

But I woke up early this morning to make a few trades, and I think there are some good lessons today…

One of them is why I see myself as a retired trader. It’s for a good reason.

I need to have that mindset of not wanting to trade unless I think it’s absolutely necessary. That means a setup has to be so good that if I DON’T trade it, I’ll feel guilty.

I reserve my time and energy for those types of trades.

Another important lesson is that even though I consider myself a retired trader, I’m always refining my knowledge and strategy to be READY for the moment when it comes.

It does me no good if I’m not prepared when the perfect play reveals itself to me.

That’s why I’m continuously a student of the market. I’m always studying patterns to come up with new strategies, or to refine and adapt my usual ones.
