I want to bring attention to something horrible that’s taking place in our world. And I’m doing that by shaving my head and donating my locks to charity. I also want to encourage you to do your own research on this matter. But first, read on for more information on the cause I’m highlighting here. And definitely watch this video! Today is a big day for me…

In this video, I’m saying bye to my voluminous curly locks…

And frankly, I don’t even remember the last time I got a haircut before this — I don’t think I got a haircut up until this moment in all of 2020.

So it’s almost symbolic to cut my hair for the new year. It’s like I’m closing the insane chapter of 2020.

And what does 2021 have in store for us? Well, we can’t predict that. But we can set goals for ourselves to shape our own 2021 as much as we can.

My personal goal for the new year is to speak up for those who can’t speak for themselves. That’s what this video is about.

I’m not simply getting a haircut — even though I can’t stand how long my hair is anymore. But I’m shaving my head to donate my hair to charity.

And the cause I’m highlighting here is the treatment of Uighur Muslims in China. There have been massive reports of torture, them being forced to shave their heads, and reconditioning in terms of religious preferences.

If you’re not familiar with what’s happening I encourage you to do your own research and bring awareness to the situation.

Me shaving my head is also representative of my standing in solidarity with the Uighur Muslims. And I’m very grateful that I have a platform to be able to talk to people about these issues.

We can’t ignore the horrible things happening all around us, so please share this video. Sharing and educating the proper information is the best thing to do if you’re not in a position to donate. Use social media and word of mouth to your advantage.
