When Marvin Gaye and his first wife, Anna, wanted to have a child, she was too old to conceive. The Motown label wanted him to have a child too, because they thought that it was a good look for his image. So, the family and the label came up with a plan. Marvin could impregnate his niece, and everyone would just keep their mouths shut about it. The plan worked, and Marvin Gaye went on to become one of the most famous stars on the label...and in the world.

Today, LaTocha Scott could really use some help. She keeps sticking her foot in her mouth when it comes to her sister and the singing group that she may or may not still be a part of - XScape. She has been accused of stealing and helping her husband to steal from her group members. LaTocha has a new album on the Motown Gospel label and it is not selling. After 1 whole week it has sold less than 1,000 copies. She's no Marvin Gaye, but should the label step in to help her do damage control?
