On January 1st the people of Western Kazakhstan woke up to find that the price of fuel had skyrocketed, increasing the price of... well essentially everything. This proved to be a tipping point, with protests starting about increasing costs as well as just the government more generally. So in this video we explain the protests, why the fuel rise happened and what happens now the government's collapsed.
