YouTube Description

as posted by the channel

Conan O'Brien shares how preparing for the Academy Awards with his writing team helped him grieve the loss of his parents, who died three days apart in December 2024.

His parents' deaths came only days before massive wildfires cut a path of destruction through Southern California, endangering O'Brien's home.

"I wish my parents had been able to see the Oscars, but they got to see a lot. They got to see a lot of cool things. And they were very proud, and so I had the knowledge of knowing that they saw a lot."
