NBC's Morgan Chesky grew up in Kerrville, Texas, where devastating floods in the area have claimed multiple lives, including 27 campers and counselors from Camp Mystic.

Chesky's mother evacuated from her home on Friday, and, reporting just yards away, he remembered growing up in the area. "The biggest flood that anyone had seen in their lifetime here was 1987. (My mom) told me about it. I was a one-year-old, and she said that this one has rewritten the rules on that." #TODAYShow
