“Those simple steps are often the difference between a meal that tastes basic and one that tastes restaurant-quality,” he says. “At the end of the day, good cooking isn’t about expensive ingredients,” he says. “If you understand how to build flavor, you can make a $10 meal taste like a $30 meal.”
