1:20Now PlayingDaniel Morejon Garcia, a 57-year-old Cuban national and alleged agent of Cuba's Ministry of the Interior, was arrested in Miami by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for being unlawfully in the U.S. He is accused of failing to disclose his membership in the Cuban Communist Party and his role as president of the National Defense Council in his immigration applications. Morejon Garcia allegedly participated in the Cuban government's violent response to protests during the July 11, 2021 demonstrations, where he reportedly assaulted protesters.
