2026 | I Will Dismantle the God of Destiny — Isaiah 65 exposes something most Christians never saw: Israel preparing a table for Gad (Fortune/Fate) and Meni (Destiny/Allocation) — not wooden idols, but ideas that replace covenant obedience with “my future.”
In this message, we confront the modern church’s obsession with destiny sermons, purpose-driven Christianity, and “calling” language that can quietly turn believers into consumers. The Word draws a terrifying distinction:
“My servants will eat… My servants will drink…” (Isaiah 65:13)
Not my dreamers. Not my planners. Not my vision-boarders.
My servants.
We also trace where “destiny” became a national ideology through Manifest Destiny (1845) — John L. O’Sullivan’s phrase describing America’s “manifest destiny to overspread the continent… allotted by Providence.” That ideology didn’t start in the Constitution — it became a cultural gospel, and the church often absorbed the same logic.
Then we bring it home to the New Testament: Ephesians 4:12 says the saints are equipped for the work of ministry (diakonia) — service, relief, support, stewardship. Jesus Himself models it:
