In this episode of What They Don’t Tell Us, I sit down with Peter Crone, and this became my most personal conversation to date.

I brought Peter on to talk about identity, ego, and the subconscious patterns that keep people stuck. Instead, the conversation turned on me. I read a letter I wrote to myself 12 years ago, and rather than staying in theory, Peter challenged the way I see myself, the pressure I carry, and the identity I did not realize I was protecting. The belief that it is all up to me.

We talk about why self-awareness is not enough if you stop at the “why,” how high performers confuse discipline with control, and why so many capable, driven people are quietly exhausted. We unpack family dynamics, responsibility, surrender, and the difference between something being real and something being true. You will hear the resistance. You will hear the shift.

If you are the strong one, the reliable one, the one who feels responsible for everyone else, this episode will feel personal. You will leave thinking differently about how you show up in your relationships and hopefully feeling lighter in the process.

Because at the end of it all, Peter leaves us with something most people do not hear enough: There is nothing wrong with you.
