Multiple People Arrested During a Night of Chaos in Red Bank

Around 2:00 AM on October 6, 2024, officers with the Red Bank Police Department were called to a disturbance involving multiple individuals at the corner of Front Street and Broad Street. As they arrived on scene, they observed multiple individual engaged in physical altercations. The individuals also appeared to be impaired. After they had to physically intervene, multiple individuals were placed under arrest.

After the individuals were handcuffed and placed in separate patrol cars, they were transported to the Red Bank Police Department for further processing. After they were processed, they were released with summonses pending their court appearances.

The summary of events was based on records that are “open to public view through open access to public records” as defined in the Salzano case. In Ramos v. Flowers, 429 N.J. Super. 13, the Appellate Division of the Superior Court has also affirmed the right to film law enforcement interactions.
