Girl Hides Dr**s in her Underwear as She and her Partner Get Arrested

Around 9:36 AM on March 23, 2024, Deputy Little with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office observed a silver 2018 Nissan Altima driving with heavily tinted windows in the vicinity of North Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Hester Avenue in Sanford. He initiated a traffic stop, and the driver pulled over in the median. He exited the vehicle and made contact with the driver of the Nissan, who was identified as 25-year-old Mason Hoyt. His passenger was later identified as 22-year-old Brooke Norman.

Mason told the Deputy that he was currently on probation and that his license was suspended. He asked Mason for consent to search his vehicle, and he located contraband and paraphernalia inside the vehicle. A search of a pink wallet yielded a plastic powder of “BC powder.” Brooke told the Deputy that she snorts that powder.

Since they were both in possession of prohibited items and Mason was violating his probation, both Mason and Brooke were placed under arrest. They were placed in separate patrol cars and each individual was transported to the John E. Polk Correctional Facility.

Based on the circumstances of Brooke’s arrest, a strip search was approved. As Brooke removed her items of clothing one piece at a time, each item was searched before being placed in the property bag. When Brooke gave the officer her underwear, it was balled up as if she was attempting to conceal something. After her underwear was unrolled, the officer found a small clear bag with a white powdery substance. After the strip search was completed, Brooke was given a body scan and her scan was flagged for being suspicious. A field test of the item Brooke concealed inside her underwear confirmed that it was fentanyl.
