Drunk Mom Crashes with 3 Kids, Assaults Cops, and Gets Arrested for THIRD DWI

Around 9:04 PM on June 25, 2025, Officers Bruce Redfield and Tyler Harpster with the South Brunswick Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Raymond Road. They arrived on scene and made contact with the driver of a beige 2016 Ford Fusion, who was identified as Harley Huarachi. They noticed that the vehicle had struck a curb and crashed into a tree, while her 3 children were seated in the back of the vehicle.

As an officer was speaking with her, he detected the odor of alcohol and observed other indicators of impairment. Harley told the officers that she was coming from a recovery program, and that she was heading home after picking up her children from their father’s house. Based on the officers’ suspicion of impairment, Harley was asked to perform field sobriety exercises. When the officers told her that her children would have to sit in the back of a patrol car while waiting for someone to pick them up, she became irate and assaulted Sergeant George Morgan. At this time, she was placed under arrest.

The children’s aunt arrived on scene to take responsibility for them, and they were released to her on scene. The officers initially planned to transport her to the station for further processing, but she began hitting her head so they decided to transport her to the hospital. She was restrained on the stretcher and transported to Princeton Medical Center for a blood draw.

Harley was issued the following traffic citations:

-Operating under the influence (39:4-50)

-Reckless driving (39:4-96)

-Careless driving (39:4-97)

-Traffic on marked lanes (39:4-88)

-No liability insurance coverage on motor vehicle (39:6B-2)

She was also criminally charged for the following offenses:

-Aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer (2C:12-1B(5)(A) )

-Resisting arrest (2C:29-2A(1))

-Endangering a child (2C:24-4A(2)) – 3 counts

-Obstruction (2C:29-1A)

As of March 8, 2026, Harley’s charges from the South Brunswick arrest are still pending in court.

Harley’s prior arrests include the following:

-DWI in Edison Township, NJ on October 26, 2019

-DWI in Monroe Township, NJ on October 31, 2021

Following this arrest, Harley was arrested again in Belmar, NJ on November 29, 2025 on allegations of possession (2C:35-10.5B), aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer (2C:12-1B(5)(A)), resisting arrest (2C:29-2A(1)), criminal trespass (2C:18-3B), and disorderly conduct (2C:33-2A(1)). As of March 8, 2026, those charges are still pending.

She has also previously been cited for public urination in Morristown, NJ on April 30, 2017. This was followed by another citation for leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage in New Brunswick, NJ on February 26, 2018.
