3:55Now PlayingIn this clip of The Trish Regan Show, I'm looking at new numbers that spell more trouble for Bud Light.
Bud Light’s parent company Anheuser-Busch has already see n roughly $40 BILLION dollars of its shareholders' value get wiped out after a failed partnership with influencer Dylan Mulvaney. And when you compare Bud Light to the competition, it's really struggling. In fact, while sales of Bud Light have plunged a record amount in the latest week, its competitors -- including Modelo, Coors Light, and Miller Light -- are all seeing major increases in sales. In other words, people are still drinking the beverage - they're just not drinking Bud Light! And we're not surprised.
Is there a way to salvage the brand? A family heir, Billy Busch (of the Anheuser-Busch legacy) would like to buy Budweiser back from the multi-national conglomerate (AB INBev) to whom Bud was sold. Would a return to the original owners make a difference or has that ship sailed? Watch - and, let me know what you think in the comments below.
