Ephesians 6:18

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the

Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance

and supplication for all saints…

Romans 6:6

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that

the body of sin might be destroyed,

that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Romans 6:1-6

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace

may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin

live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of

us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His

death?

4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into

death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the

glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness

of life.

5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His

death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His

resurrection,

6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him,

that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should

no longer be slaves of sin

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things

have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

GOD GEARED US TO HAVE A NEED FOR NEWNESS.

A NEW SONG

Psalm 96:1

Oh sing to the Lord a new song;

sing to the Lord, all the earth!

A NEW SONG COMES FROM A NEW REVELATION

Revelation 5:9

And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take

the scroll, and to open its seals; For You were slain,

and have redeemed us to God by Your blood

out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation…”

Psalm 40:3

He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God;

Many will see and fear and will trust in the LORD.

Sing to the LORD a new song; Sing to the LORD, all the
