When the details of her injuries were leaked to the public, many people desperately called for the death penalty to be reinstated. To this day, the murder of a woman named Anita Cobby stands out as one of the most heinous crimes in Australia's history. I'm MrBlack and this is The Disturbing Truth.
Anita was born on November 2nd, 1959. She was the eldest daughter of Gary Bernard Lynch. Gary was a graphic artist with the Royal Australian Air Force. Anita’s mother was named Grace Lynch but she was known to most as Peggy. Anita also had one sibling, a younger sister named Catherine. The Lynch family was a close-knit one and Anita had a good upbringing. Those who knew her described Anita as a kind and generous woman whose beauty was simply unforgettable. She enjoyed shopping with Catherine and loved to draw, often spending hours with her sketchbook.
