Karlsen's horses died in a barn fire as well, and his new car mysteriously blew up. After Levi's death, Karlsen's second wife Cindy Best secretly recorded him admitting to letting Levi die while working on the truck. Police looked into Karlsen's past and discovered a troubling pattern.
