as posted by the channelA driver in Clifton got brake-checked by a cop and he caught it on tape.
The man, identified only as Omar B, had a dashcam. In the video, which he posted to YouTube, you can see that he's following a police car down Van Houten Avenue about one car length away.
The driver was traveling 23 to 29 mph when the cop braked suddenly and stopped in the middle of the road. Omar slammed on his brakes; he didn't hit the cop car.
After the two spoke, Omar received three summonses: for a missing front license plate, for tailgaiting and for tinted windows.
We spoke to retired NYPD detective sergeant Joe Giacalone about the viral video.
"Police have to remain professional at all times," Giacalone said,. "Writing extra summonses because you think the guy is not being a gentleman -- a much better reason to be pulling him over would be because he had no front plate," Giacalone said.
