He had been convicted in the case of disposing of his business partner, Benjamin Pitezel. H.H. Holmes is known as America’s first serial killers that had operated mostly in Chicago in a building that became known as the murder castle. However, the law finally caught up with him. This is where H.H. Holmes spent his final moments.
