12:53Now PlayingOn September 20th, Polish president Andrzej Duda, while giving a speech in New York, compared Ukraine to a drowning person, who is capable of dragging everyone else down with them.
The same day, the prime minister of the country, Mateusz Morawiecki, claimed that Poland is ceasing arms exports to Ukraine as it is now prioritizing arming its own national security.
Later, an official statement from the Polish government clarified that Poland will continue to supply Ukraine with munitions and arms, but only under the already existing agreements.
Kyiv is critical of this position, here is a quote from president Zelenskyy: “It is concerning to see that some of our European friends play out solidarity in the political theater, making the grain supply into a thriller.
It may seem that they are playing their own role, but in reality they are setting the stage for an actor from Moscow.”
This altercation began with Poland’s embargo on transporting Ukrainian agricultural products through its territory.
