On Tuesday, May 24, the IOP welcomed retired Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) for a candid discussion on the state of the U.S. Senate in 2016. A long-time champion for Americans with disabilities, Sen. Harkin was the lead architect of the Americans with Disabilities Act. At this event, Sen. Harkin shared his insights from his 30 years in the Senate and 10 years in the House as well as his views on the future of the Senate and which Senate races to watch in 2016.
