To foster transparency, trust and confidence and promote climate action Parties to the UNFCCC put in place arrangements for measurement, reporting and verification (MRV). The transparency mechanism under the UNFCCC process uses a language which is full of acronyms, and this video explains some of them. As part of the verification process, this 20 and 21 of May in Bonn, Germany, for the first time, the UNFCCC is bringing countries together in a shared learning process called the Facilitative Sharing of Views.
