Cities shape our daily lives: the way we move, the homes we live in, the air we breathe. 🌆

They also sit at the heart of climate action. More than half of the world’s population lives in cities, and cities are responsible for 70% of global CO₂ emissions that are driving our planet’s warming, with buildings and transport as major contributors.

To turn ambition into action, all levels of government must work in sync, from local to regional to national.

At #ClimateWeek2025, Urszula Kasperek from the CHAMP National Engagement, C40 x GCoM Joint Program, underlined the importance of enabling collaboration at every level.
