Edit 1: As was mentioned in the comments, you can also attempt to parse "obtained by this office" as a precise statement, which would leave open the possibility that the evidence in question was obtained by another office (SDNY being the most likely candidate).
For the same reason, the wording in the statement regarding "statements' and "documents" could be viewed as precise word choices leaving open that they have other kinds of evidence, or otherwise are not rebutting the underlying substance.
Hair splitting is a thing lawyers do, so this is not a bad idea. You could read the statement that way. But to me, I don't buy it. Such technical distinctions like these doesn't seem like a good enough reason for Mueller to break his long silence. It seems Mueller would require more.
"No basis in reality" still seems like the better overall read in light of Mueller's behavior in this investigation.
