When does an influencer's "truth" become an illegal invasion of privacy? In January 2026, former Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Matt Kalil filed a high-profile lawsuit against TikTok star and former Sports Illustrated model Haley (Baylee) Kalil. Following her highly controversial appearance on a November 2025 Twitch stream where she discussed his anatomy and claimed intimacy left her "in tears," Matt is seeking a jury trial for severe emotional distress and invasion of privacy.

Today, we analyze Haley's controversial First Amendment defense, the legal limits of free speech, and the double standards of internet culture. We'll also explore why "truth" is an absolute defense to defamation, but NOT an absolute defense to an invasion of privacy claim.
