Bishop Seitz also explains the letter he recently received from the Holy Father Pope Francis expressing his closeness to those working at the border and those experiencing fear in these times. There is an inherent connection between the work of the Church on Pro-Life issues and the work of the Church on immigration issues, both deal with recognizing the image and likeness of God in the other, whom we do not know -- either the unborn child or the migrant who we have not met.
