3:42Now Playing"Jesus, I trust in you." On Divine Mercy Sunday, Most Rev. Richard Henning, Archbishop of Boston, reflects on God's mercy as it runs through the whole of the Jewish and Christian experience, from the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to the self-offering of Jesus Christ on the Cross.
Archbishop Henning turns to the prayer of Saint Faustina and the words we hear at every Mass: "Behold the Lamb of God." He traces how Jesus becomes our Lamb, our Passover, the One who gives Himself fully and completely to the Father for our deliverance, our salvation, and our forgiveness. At the moment of Holy Communion, when we see the Body of Christ before us, Archbishop Henning encourages the faithful to let those familiar words come not just from their lips, but from their hearts: "Lord, only say the word, and I shall be healed."
