At the U.S. Institute of Peace, we support greater dialogue and trust-building between the American and Vietnamese governments and peoples through public events, online exchange, research publications, and multimedia presentations like the videos of families of missing soldiers. These efforts are part of USIP Asia Center’s mandate to demonstrate an American way of peacebuilding and reconciliation that is led by ordinary citizens – veterans, refugees, businesspeople, peace activists – as well as by diplomats and officials.
