What do we do about God? The question of the day for many people, even many atheists, is whether religion should be maintained for the good of everyone, even if we think its tenets are, ultimately, false. An argument for religion's necessity has been put forward by many recent voices like Jordan Peterson, and at points has even been touched upon by hardline atheist Richard Dawkins. But today we are going to step back in time and look at the essay which mirrors so many of these modern debates - Arthur Schopenhauer's dialogue on religion, and see what the great German has to say about God.
