IMPORTANT CORRECTION: I’ve just spotted a citation issue in the third section. The Boespflug and Jackson article should be more prominently cited here. I wrote a lot of the section about Doxastic voluntarism with some help I had got from a few friends from university who were highly interested in the topic. I was re-reading the Boespflug and Jackson article the other day (since I wrote this video from some previous notes I had made) and I think they had got a lot of their information from there. Sorry about this, it was stupid of me and I apologize. I now have a policy of if I ask someone for help with a video, I request a list of their sources. So today I just wanted to give a brief introduction to the philosophy of belief, why it matters, and where Peterson might slot in.
