Chicago is on a mission to change the way learning happens for students in some of its most diverse communities — a tall order for a school system that caters to hundreds of thousands of students.

The Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences, a public magnet school on the city’s south side, is one example of how experience-based learning can be engaging and effective. Students study math, sciences and social studies, just as they would at a traditional school. But they also work outside with crops and livestock, learning real-world business and agricultural skills that could lead to future careers.

Watch to find out more about how Chicago is reimagining high school.
