RELATEDPrince Harry'This has been a painful year and a painful decade'
Prince Harry has seemingly accepted an olive branch from his father King Charles III.
The Duke of Sussex will attend Charles' and Queen Consort Camilla's coronation on May 6, Buckingham Palace and a spokesperson for Harry and his wife Duchess Meghan confirmed to USA TODAY Wednesday.
Meghan will not be attending the official crowning for Britain's new monarch. Instead, the Duchess of Sussex will stay in California with the couple's children, Prince Archie, 3, and Princess Lilibet, 1.
Archie's birthday falls on the same day as the coronation.
Harry's attendance marks the first meeting between Charles and his younger son since Harry deepened the rift within the House of Windsor by revealing family secrets in his bestselling book, "Spare.''
