Aderrien Murry, 11, was shot by police after calling 911 for help. He has been released from the hospital and is recovering from his injuries.

Aderrien Murry was shot in the chest early Saturday while an Indianola police officer was responding to a domestic disturbance call at boy's home, about 100 miles northwest of Jackson, according to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI).

According to a news release from MBI, the boy suffered “significant injuries” and was hospitalized following the shooting. No one else was injured.
