Authorities are investigating after finding 45 bags of human remains in western Mexico this week, which some officials say appear to match characteristics of more than a half-dozen young people reported missing last week.
The Jalisco state prosecutor's office said in a statement late Thursday officials discovered the remains − both male and female − in a gorge on the outskirts of Guadalajara, about 200 miles east of Puerto Vallarta.
