President Joe Biden offered a one-sentence response to reporters who asked him Tuesday about Hunter Biden's decision to plead guilty to two counts of tax evasion and one firearm offense.
"I'm very proud of my son," Biden said in San Francisco at an event on artificial intelligence.
The White House has tried to distance itself throughout the multi-year investigation into Hunter Biden, the president’s youngest son. White House officials have repeatedly declined to comment and have stressed that the administration has not discussed the case with Attorney General Merrick Garland or the Justice Department.
