Police in Alabama shared more information about Carlee Russell, a 25-year-old woman who has returned home after being reported missing earlier this month. At a press conference, Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis said Russell admitted that she was never abducted during the 49 hours she was missing and that she fabricated her 911 report of seeing a toddler alongside an interstate.

At a subsequent press briefing, Derzis said that the investigation into Russell's disappearance is not over and that investigators are still working to account for the 49 hours she was missing.
