3:31:55Now PlayingSean "Diddy" Combs is set to appear in court Friday for a hearing ahead of his looming federal sex-crimes trial.
But whether the trial's May 5 start date will stick is another story. Attorneys for the embattled hip-hop mogul asked Judge Arun Subramanian to delay the trial two months after its scheduled start, according to court documents obtained April 16 by USA TODAY. And in court documents filed April 17, the day before the court hearing, Combs' legal team presented their case for excluding from the trial footage of Combs attacking then-girlfriend Cassie.
The embattled music mogul was arrested in September and has been charged with racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all five charges.
