11:30Now PlayingNick Reiner made his second appearance in Los Angeles County Superior Court Wednesday, but he's facing an additional delay in the proceedings around the killing his parents, Hollywood filmmaker Rob Reiner and producer Michele Singer Reiner.
Nick Reiner, 32, appeared in room 30 of the Criminal Courts Building before Theresa McGonigle. He was set to be arraigned – formally charged in the deaths of his parents – before his high-powered attorney Alan Jackson withdrew as counsel, asking "to be removed." The arraignment has now been postponed to Feb. 23.
The hearing occurred nearly a month after prosecutors allege Reiner fatally stabbed his 78-year-old father and 70-year-old mother in their Brentwood home in the early morning of Dec. 14.
