In 2024, GBRS Group, a veteran-owned tactical training company co-founded by former SEAL Team 6 operator DJ Shipley, found itself at the center of a major controversy. The company was accused of racism after firing an employee, leading to widespread backlash. Many YouTubers, media outlets, and influencers quickly called for a boycott of GBRS, with some even suggesting legal action.
The fired employee capitalized on the situation, launching a GoFundMe campaign, raising over $72,000 under the pretense of seeking "justice and reconciliation." However, as the case unfolded over the next year, arbitration depositions, security camera footage, and police body cam evidence proved that the employee was solely responsible for losing a firearm lower receiver, lied about it to his employers, and ultimately defrauded GoFundMe donors—spending none of the money on legal fees.
After an extensive legal process, GBRS won their arbitration case, was awarded $300,000 in damages, and was fully cleared of all racism allegations. Yet, despite the overwhelming evidence, many YouTubers and media figures who initially spread false information have yet to delete their videos, issue retractions, or apologize.
📢 In this video, we break down the entire case, uncover the facts, and expose the misinformation spread about GBRS Group.
